The Order Release Module is an automatic case dispenser, capable of handling a wide variety of packaging types. It is available in two versions; one for fast moving products and one for medium to slow moving products. Essentially it is a multi-level flow rack with automated lane replenishment and product dispense mechanisms at the end of each lane. Unique about it is that the flow rack can be up to 38 Ft long.
This is possible thanks to the dense roller bed and patented method of driving the rollers via a “friction ring”; a type of slide bearing, which allows any type of packaging (even some bags of cat litter) to transport over the rollers, without accelerating or decelerating, thus accumulating carefully in a SKU specific buffer lane, ready to be dispensed for a store order or wave.
Independent of weight, dimension or material the cases move at the same speed over the tracks. The flow rack is fitted with an automated input mechanism on each deck and an automated dispense mechanism at the end of each lane. These dispensers eject the goods onto a conveyor, which takes the goods towards loading station stations for automated or manual pallet, roll cage or truck floor loading.
Cases can be ejected in any sequence as specified by Warehouse Control software. This and the standardization of the buffer lanes SKU’s can be buffered in any location at any time without adapting the buffer lane hardware or settings.
Due to the large number of dispensers an output capacity of up to 900 cases per hour per level can be achieved. In other words, a module of 7 levels is technically capable of a maximum sequenced output capacity of 6300 cases per hour.
Due to its modular design it is possible to increase capacity by lanes, levels and whole modules, creating less dependency on 1 supply chain process.
Because of the compact design the footprint per module is small, but due to the long buffer lanes the storage capacity is high and not easily limited by the building height, enabling retrofit in existing buildings that were designed for manual picking. |

Designed for the medium to slow moving SKU of your assortment. With shorter buffer lanes and one pusher per level that replenishes double the number of lanes this is an ideal solution to automate the majority of the rest of the assortment in your DC. It can also be a great solution for industries with slower throughput looking to automate. |
